Garden-Inspired Spring Wedding Flowers at No.42 GuestHouse Margate.
Overlooking Margate's shoreline, No.42 GuestHouse is one of Kent's most distinctive wedding venues. With its sea views, elegant interiors and relaxed coastal atmosphere, it provides the perfect setting for wedding flowers that feel romantic, abundant and connected to the season.
For this spring wedding, we created a floral story inspired by the soft colours and movement of an English garden in bloom. Delicate shades of blush, peach, ivory and pale blue were woven throughout the designs, creating arrangements that felt fresh, light and full of natural beauty.
The focal point of the day was a large-scale floral installation framing the entrance to the reception space. Designed with layers of seasonal foliage, garden roses, hydrangeas, snapdragons and delicate spring flowers, the installation brought a sense of abundance while maintaining an organic, effortless feel. Soft peach and blush tones were nestled amongst fresh greenery, creating a romantic backdrop that complemented the venue's warm interiors and coastal setting.
Throughout the venue, sculptural arrangements in classical white urns echoed the same garden-inspired aesthetic. Filled with fluttering sweet peas, tulips, roses and seasonal spring blooms, these arrangements celebrated the fleeting beauty that makes spring weddings so special. We wanted each design to feel as though it had naturally grown into the space rather than being formally arranged.
For the reception, low table arrangements combined soft peach roses, tulips and sweet peas with fresh foliage and delicate seasonal flowers. Positioned against the backdrop of Margate's seafront, the flowers brought together the romance of an English garden with the relaxed elegance of a seaside wedding. The palette worked beautifully with the soft pink linens, coloured glassware and the light-filled setting overlooking the coast.
The bridal bouquet continued this seasonal approach. Designed in a loose, hand-tied style, it featured a delicate blend of blush and ivory flowers with touches of pale blue, creating a bouquet that felt timeless, romantic and effortlessly elegant.
One of the things we love most about designing wedding flowers at No.42 GuestHouse Margate is the contrast between the coastal landscape outside and the intimate, beautifully designed interiors within. The venue lends itself perfectly to naturalistic floral design, allowing seasonal flowers to take centre stage while enhancing the character of the space.
As a Kent wedding florist, we are always inspired by the changing seasons and the unique atmosphere of every venue we work in. This celebration at No.42 GuestHouse was a beautiful example of how spring flowers can transform a space, creating a wedding that felt both luxurious and deeply personal.
