Launching my Wedding Styling Service at Gather Wedding Fair, Turner Contemporary in Margate.
What a brilliant weekend at the Gather Wedding Fair at the Turner Contemporary in Margate. It was such a joy not only to showcase my wedding floristry but also to officially introduce my new wedding styling service. Bringing together flowers, tablescapes, décor and styling into one creative vision feels like such a natural evolution for my work, and there couldn’t have been a more inspiring place to launch it than overlooking the sea at the Turner Contemporary.
The Gather Wedding Fair always attracts couples looking for something thoughtful, creative and a little different, so it felt like the perfect setting to share this new chapter for Ultramarine. I wanted the stand to reflect the kind of weddings I love designing, modern but romantic, artistic yet relaxed, and always deeply personal to each couple.
Using seasonal flowers in soft layered tones alongside sculptural styling pieces, textured linens and contemporary details, the space became a reflection of how flowers and styling work together to completely shape the atmosphere of a wedding day. Rather than seeing floristry and styling as separate elements, I love approaching them as one cohesive story.
Over the years, many couples have asked for help beyond flowers alone, guidance with the overall aesthetic, layout, tablescape design, candle placement, colour palettes and those finishing touches that make a wedding feel beautifully considered. Launching wedding styling felt like the perfect way to offer a more complete creative service.
Whether couples are planning an intimate coastal celebration in Margate, a countryside wedding in Kent, a contemporary gallery wedding at the Turner Contemporary or a city wedding in London styling allows every part of the day to feel connected and intentional. From ceremony spaces to reception tables, every detail can contribute to the atmosphere and experience for guests.
One of the things I love most about styling is creating spaces that feel effortless but memorable, where guests walk in and immediately feel the mood and personality of the couple. Flowers play a huge role in that, but so do textures, lighting, vessels, fabrics and carefully chosen decorative details.
The response at Gather was incredibly lovely and it was wonderful meeting so many couples at the beginning of their wedding planning journey. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat, ask questions and share your ideas with me.
